It has almost been two years

As I sit here and typing this I can not believe it has almost been two years. What a miracle God did for Josh.

This is a picture of Josh, Sarah and my mom in Alaska - I just love it and have to share.

So what about Josh? He had his yearly MRI and it is perfect - there is no evidence of a tumor returning. In addition during his sports physical they found he had 20/40 vision. We took him into our ophthalmologist and he really has 20/20 vision, another miracle. His left eye is the wandering one now - but all he has to do is close his eyes and rest a minute and it tracks back. They were amazed at how well he is control it. His peripheral perception is not bad. He is well enough to be released for getting his permit next year. Woohoo or should I be crying instead.

School - the kid is amazing. First of remember he is in a Junior Senior Geometry class and accelerated English class - he has straight A's in all his classes. He has one of the highest percentages in Geometry. His English teacher asked him to take journalism in the Spring so he can be on the newspaper crew next year, and honor for a Sophomore.

He is loving Spanish - keyboarding is a challenge but he is up to over 30 words a minute. Okay this mom could keep on bragging.

But one more - Josh was student of the month for October - they honor one freshman a month and my Josh was it. I am so proud. He is a great kid. Okay both my kids are the best.

Bruce has been letting Josh drive on the street, back up and such - scary. Josh has decided not to do basketball, he is too worried about his grades. But he is fired up for track. No pole vaulting unless he uses a helmet - but mom is fine with out it.

Thanks for the multitude of prayers still. We are where we are because of them. Josh still eats enough for a family of five, wearing size 11 1/2 shoes, and dreaming of the Outback, what a blessing. May the Lord bless you special as you have blessed us.

Love you

Happy 14th Birthday Joshua

Amazing at it may seem - Josh is now 14. What a great birthday he is having in Alaska.

He started the day with pancakes and sausage. Then Auntie Le May added sprinkles to the pancakes - yummy.

Then off to the movie we went - Aunt Connie and Grandma joined us for Kung Fu Panda. Lots of laughs - we are still quoting the movie and laughing from it. That was after a wonderful lunch at a restaurant in the mall - thanks Aunt Connie.

There was an arcade in the mall - so we spent some time playing games and being silly. Then Grandma bought us all ice cream - yummy - the best anywhere at Baskin and Robbins.

Back to Aunt Le May's for a brief time. Then we went to the Mountain Chocolate Factory - where Josh got to buy his fill of chocolates - if mom will share them with him. We then met family at the Sourdough Mining Company for a birthday dinner and lots of fun. Josh ended up eating over 10 oz of a New York Steak - and was still hungry. Thanks Aunt Le May and Uncle Doug for dinner.

This mom thought the highlight was watching him eat all that steak. We headed back to Aunt Le May's and he opened presents from Grandma. Yeppers a new DS game - and he is off.

He had a great birthday in Alaska - not many can say they came up here for their birthday.

Thanks for sharing with us.

How can we ever say thank you enough times to Make a Wish Foundation. In 42 hours we are off to Disney World - I don't think it has really sunk in yet.

In addition - thank you thank you to Out Back Steak House - dinner was awesome. You guys spoil us too much.

So Friday am at 4:15 - no that is not a typo - we are being picked up by a limo and taken to the Redmond Airport. We will be in Orlando at 5:30 that night and the fun just starts to go and go some more.

Wowow. I am tired thinking about all we are going to be doing. We are bringing our laptop with so hopefully Josh will do some updating and sharing with you all. We are pumped.

Thank you for all the prayers - they truly are a blessing. We will chat with you later!
