We are Still at St. Charles

Josh is sitting by me as we are setting up his blog! I pray to be able to update frequently on this site of the testimony of what Josh is going through. It is about 5 in the morning and Josh wanted to come down to the computer to see if he could get on Horseland - thanks Danna - but not allowed access.

Now we begin the wait and see again. He has had a great night - his vitals are perfect - but getting a little bored - TV and nothing on. What is a boy to do.

Josh has named his tumor, mass, cysts you choose - FRED - and he is ready to have Fred taken care of and he is wanting to flush it down the toilet. The humor is there.

Our biggest concern right now is the weather - it is wet in Bend but the pass is bad, so if that continues Josh will be life flighted out - although he wants to go home and see his dog, and gather his things. Oh my if Josh flies, I am going with him, and that will leave Bruce to pack - I have started a list - but this could be scary.

Joshua thanks you for all the prayers and well wishes. You are blessing us and like his mom and dad - we are looking forward to the end of this testimony. Watch out Billy Graham! Pastor watch out - Josh says it will be a long testimony taking up half the singing - and this from the drummer boy.

Josh is praying for you too and blessing you for all you do. Thank you dear Lee Ann, Jeanette and Pastor and Denese - your visit last night was a blessing, and so uplifting. To the Field's Doggy Inn thanks for keeping Captain Rakshak and Sarah - hehehehehe!

Love you all and thank you again!

Hey Josh!

Leeo and I have a picture of you from last year - we've put it up in our prayer room and have been praying over you. We're SO very proud of you for the attitude you've taken towards this (and we've gotten a chuckle out of your 'too much homework for 7th graders' comment) - hang in there, buddy! God is bigger than anything that we face - He's right there with you (although I think you know that already).

Love you!

Good Morning Josh

Here at the Doggie Inn all is well. Captain had a good night. He played with Ivan last night and they both wore themselves out. They are at it again this morning.

Our family is praying and we know God has this under control.

If you do not get to see Captain before you leave today. Jeff will take photos and send to you by e-mail.

We love you,

The Fields and Captain

You don't need to worry about the homework...we'll take care of that. I will add you to the prayer request list at our church, also. This will be a tough ordeal, but God will not give us more than we can bear. Take care and God bless,

Hey, Drummer Boy!

Glad we could be there last night with you and your parents. I hope you got some sleep and are ready to begin this day with the Lord!

I'll keep your job open as drummer boy! So keep practicing!

When we left last night and got to Highway 97 it was a whiteout! Had to turn around and go back into Bend. Then we connected with Leeanne and Jeannette. The snow let up and we crept over the pass and home by 10 pm! Praise the Lord!

Everyone here is praying for you,
especially for your parents and sister!

Keep up the blog!

Good Morning Josh! and Lori and Bruce,
Not exactly the kind of plane ride you would have asked for but I hope you enjoy it as much as you can! Think of the stories you will be able to share with all of us.
You are in our constant thoughts and prayers throughout the day. We're looking forward to some future fishing with you!
Love you,

Josh, I (Lee) had to wait until I was almost 40 to fly in a helicopter. I had to do it for work, but I thought it was pretty cool! I hope you enjoy the ride, or maybe you're already done with that. I pray that FRED will be out of your life very shortly and I am praying for you! Your faith is amazing and I will be waiting to hear your awesome testimony when you're ready!

Hi Josh !
We can hardly wait to hear about your trip. I hope you held your mom's hand to keep her calm. I thought you might like a little turkey humor.....you know you and I won't be eating turkey tomorrow...we'd rather eat Lefsa....
Why did the turkey cross the road?
It was the chicken's day off.

Why did the police arrest the turkey?
They suspected it of fowl play.

Uncle Doug says - Why did the
turkey cross the road?
To get away from his homework!
That's one he came up with......
Love you,

Hi Josh,

Just want to you to know I am sitting here this Thanksgiving Day giving thanks for you and what a great testimony you are for our Lord. I love you, Josh, and have hundreds of people praying for you that "Fred" can be flushed down the toilet really soon and you will be back at school doing that dreaded homework again. You are so funny, Josh, we are the ones that are supposed to keep you laughing and you are keeping us laughing. I bet your sweet mom can use those laughs right now. You know how moms can be, they worry about you until you are old and gray but that is their job. Wish I could be there to help you flush Fred, that would be so cool. I am looking forward to when this is all over with and you can use this great testimony over and over again in your life. It is so amazing how the Lord works. Take care, sweetie, I love you, and will keep praying and holding you close in thought.

God Bless you,
Aunt Donna Joy

Hay Josh

We are thinking of you. I understand you are getting bored. I can talk to the nurses and ask them to quiz you on your multiplication tables :)

Aunt LeMay, Brendon and Doug said...

Hi Joshua!
So you got a new game system....you just keep practicing so we can play together...You know it's just too cold to be in Alaska right now so I hope it's OK to come visit you on Monday...I'm really hoping you can give me some tips on how to be a better nurse - like telling me all the things you like and dislike. Let me know if there is anything I can bring you....besides an ice fishing pole - that might be too smelly for the plane.
Love you, Aunt LeMay
