Blogging from our room!

First of all our hearts are so blessed my our wonderful church family all the gifts and cards are such a blessing and a relief. You have truly shown Jesus to us and blessed us more than we could ever have imagined.

Pastor and Mr. Fritz made it here fine - could not leave the hospital for awhile because of the snow and ice outside - how silly is that coming from La Pine. But I have my laptop so will probably play on here all night.

Josh was seen by the anethestiologist - spelled that one bad - but he was a great guy. Josh can not eat after midnight. Poor thing.

To all you awesome 7th graders at LPMS that shaved your heads - Josh is having the Chief Resident of Pediatric Neoursurgery shave his tomorrow - and we are going bald. Dad is only going to go really short - Sarah is afraid she is going to have to go bald too.

Mrs. Faust's second grade class we got the email and are so blessed. Josh is missing you all too and will come for a visit in a little while.

We are basically done for the night. Josh has to get another IV in tonight - the last one went bad, and get him ready for surgery tomorrow. They are going to be checking compatiability with other blood in case he needs it.

Unfortunately we have to clear out our room tonight so I will be organizing and packing that up tonight - keeping up the decorations till tomorrow.

We can feel the prayers wrapping around us - we have such a peace and can see God's hand moving and shaking and things and lay them in an awesome perfect pattern. Mom is better here, need some good sleep, but I feel so loved - thank you!

Probably more later if Josh is up to posting!

Hi Josh and family,
Just wanted to let you know that you are in our prayers here in ND, too. You probably don't know who we are, since we have never met, but I am your Grandma Phyllis' cousin. Lee and Kate let us know about what was happening with you. I know it can't be any fun to be in the hospital, but think about how good it will be when this is all over. It sounds like you have some great friends anxious for you to get home. Will be thinking about all of you tomorrow.

Hello from La Pine,
I'm so glad that Richard and Dick were able to be up there with your family for tomorrow's surgery!!
And very glad they got there safely, Praise our Lord!!

You are still in our thoughts and prayers here in La Pine. We are having a special prayer time right when you will be in surgery Josh!
I know you'll feel His arms holding you up during it all. With love, Denese Lighthill

Josh and Family:

I am sorry that you are having to experience what it means to be loved by the "real church" by going through a struggle similar to the one in which you were part of the real church to our family. We wish we could be closer to be there for you as you were for us.

I know that it is scary for all. What helps Billy Ray and me is to say "what time I am afraid I will trust in thee" over and over throughout the day. It also helps to remember who our true Advocate is, Jesus Christ our Lord. He is always interceding for your family even when you are too weary to cry out to the Father.

We are with you in our hearts,
Larry, Peggy Lou and Billy Ray
